The Other Side of Anxiety
Anxiety doesn’t have to be your normal.
Beyond the dangerous levels of stress, panic attacks, and constant worry—God offers something better. You don’t have to strangle yourself with pressure or live in fear of losing control.
When early Christians were living under the terrifying threat of persecution and death from Emperor Nero, the apostle Peter gave this powerful instruction:
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)
That wasn’t a suggestion—it was a lifeline. And it still is.
Yet, let’s be honest: we often resist. We give God 70% of the burden and keep 30% for ourselves—just enough to feel in control. But if we’re not fully in control, we feel out of control. And that’s the tension we live with daily.
But here’s the truth: we have a choice.
Keep holding on to stress, worry, and high blood pressure.
Or surrender—and finally experience peace, rest, and joy.
Jesus said it best:
“If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.” (Matthew 16:25, NLT)
Surrender is not giving up—it’s trading up. It’s the bold decision to believe that God can do a better job running your life than you ever could. Sometimes, He even allows the pressure to build so we’ll finally reach for His peace on the other side.
So here’s the question:
Will you give Him 100% and trust Him with the outcome?
Strong blessings,
