Don’t Wait Until You Know Everything Before You Do Anything

“As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child; even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.” — Ecclesiastes 11:5

“Knowest not” is not knowing the future. Its a common theme in Ecclesiastes. “No one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end” (3:11). “Since no one knows the future, who can tell someone else what is to come” (8:7).

So it would be wise to do what you know to do now. Don’t be paralyzed by analysis. Don’t just talk about it—be about it. If you’re waiting to know everything before you do anything, you’ll be waiting forever. Faith without works is dead.

Our job is not to know it all but to trust the One who does.

We are already educated beyond the level of our obedience. What we need is not more knowledge but more action. At the end of the day, God won’t say, “Well thought” or “Well said.” He will say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Plant your seeds. Sow in the morning, sow in the evening. Don’t wait for perfect timing or perfect knowledge. Trust God with the harvest.

Because in the end, maturity is seen at harvest time: learning to reap without complaint when the results seem small, and to reap without apology when the blessing is great.

Don’t wait until you know everything before you do anything. Step out in faith—God gives the increase.
