A God for All People

I never imagined I would be writing this series of devotions, but God ignited a burning passion within me to share it. Even in my uncertainty, He reminded me that I am without excuse. In this digital age, He has placed the world’s tools right at my fingertips—how could I not honor His calling?

The big picture in Jonah is this: our God is inclusive in an exclusive world. That was Jonah’s grand lesson. God is not tribal, judgmental, punitive, religious, or small. He transcends our categories. He is everybody’s God. He doesn’t play favorites. He welcomes all—Israel and Nineveh, Gentiles and Jews, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarians and Scythians, slaves and free.

He is the God of equal opportunity. Salvation is the great equalizer, inviting each of us into His story of grace.

And the invitation is already extended. No matter what you’ve done, here’s the truth Jonah teaches us:
    •    Running from God – exclusive mindset vs. inclusive calling
    •    God’s grace in the depths – no one is beyond His reach
    •    God’s mercy for Nineveh – the inclusivity of His forgiveness
    •    Wrestling with God’s mercy – confronting our prejudices

The question is: will you step into the story?
What are you waiting for?

Strong Blessings,
Cedric
