Grace Resort

A traveler once got off at the wrong stop and couldn’t find his way to a resort. Exhausted and lost, he was finally guided by someone who knew the way.

That’s how many of us are with grace. We’ve read about it, heard sermons on it, but often miss experiencing it. Why? Because grace offends our ego. We want to earn it, tip God for it, or prove we deserve it. But grace can’t be bought—it’s an unearned, undeserved gift.

Even Peter stumbled back into legalism (Galatians 2). And in a culture built on merit and competition, it’s hard to embrace a gospel that runs on heaven’s economy. But God is different—humble, loving, inclusive. His grace is abundant and free.

That’s why we need daily doses of grace. Not just a sermon twice a year or a book on grace every so often. Without it, we drift back into performance, criticism, and fear. With it, we find freedom, joy, and rest.

“Out of His fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given” (John 1:16).

Whatever you face today, deal with it with grace—or it will stay in your face.

Grace to you,
Cedric
